| Five Step Plan to your Dream: Step Two - You may have completed your “ASA 101-104 Bareboat Charter” certification but not yet chartered a boat on your own or you may want to sample the live aboard cruising life to see if you’ll like it, so why not enjoy an educational sailing vacation. If you have chartered in a level like the BVI’s you may want to expand your experience by sailing in an intermediate to advanced location. We will be your guides as we cruise and learn while sailing in the azure blue waters of the Aegean Sea. If you’re dreaming of sailing to exotic places this is a great way of sampling what life aboard is like while cruising in foreign ports, learn what you need to know for safe comfortable cruising. |

| maneuvering to med moor can be challenging each other from dropping the anchor to tying up to the quay. Sailing to our next anchorage is very important to us and we will endeavor to choose the destination based on the best sailing opportunities. Take the helm, set the sails or enjoy the ride, do as much or as little as you want, no body yells, feel free to ask as many questions as you want. Time to Explore the history and culture of these unique island villages. Athens (Piraeus), Aegina, Poros, Hydra, Kea, Syros, Serifos, Kithnos so many islands to explore with narrow stone paths full of flowers, whitewash buildings, traditional windmills and ancient ruins contrast against the deep blue sea and azure sky. Provisioning: Once you arrive we will go shopping exploring the local market so you can truly experience the local customs and culture. The food here is an experience in itself that you will want to enjoy; we will plan on breakfast, lunch and snacks aboard while sampling the local restaurants known as tavernas for dinner. Relax watch the sunset and have fun! Weather Routing and Charting: We will show you how to interpret the local weather report data in order to decide where we will be sailing. By using the weather information overlaid with the local charts we can choose which way is going to be the best sailing and anchorage. The area we will be cruising is a combination of the coast of Peloponnese (“island of Pelops”) lying to the southwest of Athens and the Cyclades lying just southeast of Athens which derive their name from to “circle” or ring. The Cyclades islands actually lie in a semi circle around the island of Delos which was said to be the birthplace of Apollo. There is plenty of history among all the islands for you to imagine yourselves going back through time. |
